Jackie Umgelder

Jackie Umgelder is a medical assistant and the lead medical assistant at Express Med Spa, working with clients on medically supervised weight loss at the Frankfort and Mount Greenwood clinics. Her route into the field was not a clinical one. She arrived as a patient, started a GLP-1 weight loss program under the practice’s supervision, and lost 130 pounds over nine months. That experience is the reason she does this work, and it is why clients starting the same program tend to find her easy to talk to. She supports the weight loss programs day to day: dosing education, progress tracking between appointments, and the habit work that decides whether the medication does its job. She also assists with the vitamin and metabolism injections the clinics offer, including B12, lipotropic, NAD+ and glutathione. She is also a trained laser technician who performs laser hair removal, and she provides facials and other esthetic skin treatments.
