Lip Flip

A Lip Flip uses a small amount of neurotoxin to relax the muscle around your upper lip, which causes it to gently roll outward and appear slightly fuller. It does not add physical volume. Lip filler, on the other hand, uses a hyaluronic acid gel injected directly into the lip tissue to add definition and fullness. If you want a subtle, low-commitment enhancement, the Lip Flip may be the right starting point. If you want noticeable added volume or shape, lip filler is the more effective option. Many patients do both — your provider can help you decide what makes sense for your goals.

Most patients describe it as a quick pinch. We use a very fine needle and the number of injection points is small, so the discomfort is typically minimal. If you’re concerned about sensitivity, let your provider know — they can discuss comfort options with you at your appointment.

Yes, though we recommend avoiding straws and excessive puckering for the first few days as the neurotoxin settles. You can eat and drink normally right after your appointment. Just be gentle with your lips during the first 4 hours and avoid rubbing or pressing on the area.
