Revanesse Dermal Filler

Revanesse is a line of hyaluronic acid injectable fillers manufactured by Prollenium Medical Technologies. The line has been in use since 2002 and includes two products used at Express Med Spa: Revanesse Versa+, which is used for facial wrinkles, folds, and volume restoration, and Revanesse Lips+, which is designed specifically for lip augmentation. Both are clear gels injected beneath the skin to add volume and smooth the treatment area. Both contain lidocaine for patient comfort and are reversible with hyaluronidase if needed.

They are two different formulations designed for different anatomical purposes. Revanesse Versa+ is formulated for facial injection into the mid to deep dermis and is used to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds such as nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and cheek volume loss. Revanesse Lips+ is formulated specifically for the lips, where the tissue behaves differently and requires a product designed to move naturally with the lips while providing soft, consistent volume. Revanesse Versa+ is FDA-cleared for injection into the mid to deep dermis for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, in adults 22 years of age and older. Revanesse Lips+ is FDA-cleared for lip augmentation in adults 22 years of age and older. Both products have been evaluated through clinical trials and have established safety data supporting their use.

Results vary by treatment area. For the lips, most patients see results lasting 6 to 12 months. For mid-movement facial areas such as the nasolabial folds and marionette lines, results typically last 9 to 12 months. The most commonly reported side effects are swelling, bruising, redness, tenderness, and mild pain at the injection site, all of which typically resolve within a few days to two weeks. Less common side effects include skin sensitivity, lumpiness, acne-like eruptions, infection, and in rare cases more serious complications including skin necrosis or vascular injury.
