Who Radiesse Filler is For
Good Candidates? Is This Right for You?
Concerns Radiesse Addresses
- Volume loss in the cheeks and midface
- Deep nasolabial folds and marionette lines
- Jowling and loss of jawline definition
- Hollows in the chin and pre-jowl area
- Skin that has lost firmness and structural support with age
Who Is a Good Candidate for Radiesse?
Radiesse works best for adults who have noticeable volume loss or deep folds and want results that last longer than a typical hyaluronic acid filler. It is a strong fit if your goal is lift, structure, and definition, especially in the lower face, and you are comfortable choosing a filler that is not instantly reversible in exchange for that durability. The facial indication is approved for adults 22 and older.
Radiesse may not be the right choice if you mainly want soft volume in the lips or under the eyes, if you prefer a filler that can be dissolved, or if you have certain allergies or medical conditions. In those cases our injectors will recommend an alternative, such as a hyaluronic acid filler, during your consultation.
Safety Overview
Radiesse is FDA approved for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, and it has been used in aesthetic medicine for nearly two decades. At Express Med Spa, every Radiesse treatment is performed by a licensed nurse practitioner or registered nurse. We do not place Radiesse in the lips or around the eyes, where its safety has not been established. Because Radiesse cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase, your consultation includes an honest conversation about whether it is the right product for your goals before anything is injected. Tell your provider about any allergies, medications, bleeding disorders, or history of severe allergic reactions so we can plan the safest treatment for you.
