How Much Does Medical Weight Loss Cost in the Chicago Suburbs?

This page lists the current prices for weight loss services at the Express Med Spa clinics in Frankfort, La Grange, Shorewood, and Mount Greenwood (Chicago), so you know what each step costs before you book.

Important Medical and Medication Disclosure: Express Med Spa offers nurse-practitioner-led, medically supervised weight management programs. Prescription weight loss medications, including compounded semaglutide (GLP-1) and compounded tirzepatide (dual GIP/GLP-1), are prescribed only when clinically indicated following an in-person or virtual medical evaluation by a licensed Nurse Practitioner and a review of current blood work (a CBC and CMP from the last 12 months, or labs drawn at our clinic). Compounded medications are prepared by a licensed U.S. compounding pharmacy for an individual patient pursuant to a valid prescription. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for safety, effectiveness, or quality, and are not generic equivalents of, or affiliated with, any brand-name pharmaceutical product. Express Med Spa does not sell, stock, or dispense brand-name GLP-1 or GIP/GLP-1 medications. Individual weight loss results vary based on baseline metabolic health, adherence, nutrition, physical activity, and clinical dosing.

Weight Loss Initiation Labs (CBC and CMP)	$59	Required to start weight loss injections if you have not had a CBC and CMP with an outside provider or with us in the last 12 months.
GLP-1 Weight Loss Initiation	$999	A 4.5-month medication supply for patients beginning GLP-1 therapy on a starting dose. Bring a copy of labs from the past year.
GLP-1 Continuation Refill	$999	A 3-month medication supply for patients continuing GLP-1 therapy at home.
Dual GIP/GLP-1 Weight Loss Initiation	$999	A 3-month medication supply on a starting dose for patients beginning dual GIP/GLP-1 therapy. Bring a copy of labs from the past year.
Dual GIP/GLP-1 Continuation Refill	$999	A 3-month refill for patients continuing dual GIP/GLP-1 therapy. Bring a copy of labs from the past year.
In-Office GLP-1 Injection	Starting at $99	For patients who want to trial a dose or prefer not to inject at home. High dose injection $149; ultra high dose injection $199.
In-Office Dual GIP/GLP-1 Injection	$149	For patients who want to trial a dose or prefer not to inject at home.
Oral GIP/GLP-1 Medication	$599	A one-month supply of medication taken by mouth. Eligibility is decided at your consultation.
Lipotropic Injection	$45	A lipotropic (MIC) injection containing methionine, inositol, and choline, offered as a wellness injection and not a weight loss medication. The Slim B injection, a lipotropic injection with added vitamin B12, is $65.
Vitamin B12 Injection	$39	An intramuscular vitamin B12 injection (cyanocobalamin), offered as a wellness injection and not a weight loss medication.

Prices are subject to change and are based on a planned consultation with staff. Your provider confirms which services your plan includes before you start treatment.

Weight Loss Membership Pricing

Each membership tier includes the items listed below. Memberships do not include the prescription medication.

What Determines Your Total Cost?

1. Whether You Need New Lab Work

A complete blood count (CBC) and comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP) are required before you start weight loss injections. If you have had both tests with an outside provider or with us in the last 12 months, bring a copy of the results to your consultation. If not, the initiation labs are drawn at the clinic.

2. Which Medication Pathway Your Provider Recommends

Compounded semaglutide (a GLP-1 receptor agonist), compounded tirzepatide (a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist), and oral GIP/GLP-1 medication are priced differently, as the price list above shows. Your nurse practitioner recommends a pathway after reviewing your health history, current medications, and lab results.

3. Home Supply or In-Office Injections

Initiation and continuation supplies cover three to four and a half months of home administration. In-office injections suit patients who want to trial a dose or prefer not to inject at home, and each in-office injection is priced by dose, as the price list above shows.

4. Membership or Pay-As-You-Go

A membership bundles provider access, annual labs, and the injections listed for each tier into one monthly price; the prescription medication is not included. Ask at your consultation which option fits your plan.
