There are some things that can make neurotoxin last a little bit less than 12 weeks, and we are going to go over those things today. I’m Stefanie Drozd. I’m the medical director and nurse practitioner at Express Med Spa.

The things that can make neurotoxin wear off faster: number one, heavy activity. So if you are a marathon runner, you’re in personal training, you’re a bodybuilder, you’re doing a lot of exercising, that will definitely increase your metabolism, which will also increase the metabolism of neurotoxin. Because neurotoxin is a muscular injection, that medication is going into the facial muscles. And so when you’re burning more energy, you’re metabolizing faster, thus your neurotoxin will wear off faster.

The other thing that has really been causing a huge buzz lately: weight loss injections, which can also cause your neurotoxin to wear out faster, and that’s for a variety of reasons.
