My name is Haley. I’m an aesthetic injector RN at Express Med Spa. An aesthetic injector is a nurse that injects Botox, does dermal fillers, and other treatments.

I went to nursing school, and I ended up working in an emergency room for over 10 years. But I always thought back about when I wanted to be an aesthetician, and then I found out that nurses are now injecting Botox and doing dermal fillers, microneedling, and all sorts of fun things.

We do dermal fillers in almost every area of the face. We also inject neurotoxins as well. For neurotoxin injections, which a lot of people know as Botox, we use a product called Xeomin. It is a more purified form of Botox. There are other options out there, but everybody loves Xeomin, and we have been having great results with it, so that is what we are sticking to.

My favorite procedure would be to do lips. I have a lot of people that come to me to do their lips. Here at Express Med Spa we do a mini lip, which is basically about half a syringe of filler, and then we will do the full lip as well. I love doing lips because our patients and clients have such a great reaction to it. When they see themselves in the mirror, there is such a dramatic response. People get really excited and happy. It is an elective procedure, and people get excited to have it done.
