Who I'ts For

Good Candidates? Is This Right for You?

This program may be a good fit if you have struggled to lose weight despite consistent diet and exercise efforts, especially if hormonal changes, perimenopause, or a slow metabolism are contributing factors. Ideal candidates are adults who are medically appropriate for GLP-1 therapy as determined by a clinical assessment and lab review. Our team will review your health history, current medications, and goals before recommending enrollment. This is not a quick-fix program. It is a structured, medically supervised approach designed for patients committed to making lasting changes.

What To Expect

Pre & Post Treatment Care

Pre-Care Instructions

Complete required lab work prior to your consultation appointment. Our team will provide you with the specific panel needed. Labs must be current within 90 days.
Compile a list of all current medications and supplements, including over-the-counter products, to share at your consultation.
Avoid starting any new weight-loss supplements or medications in the 2 weeks prior to your consultation, unless directed by your primary care provider.
Eat normally in the days leading up to your appointment. Do not fast or restrict calories before your consultation visit.
Come prepared with your health goals, weight history, and any relevant prior lab results or medical records if available.

Post-Care Instructions

Administer your weekly injection on the same day each week, rotating the injection site between the abdomen, thigh, and upper arm as instructed during training.
Store your medication as directed -- typically refrigerated. Do not freeze. Follow all storage instructions on your prescription label.
Stay well hydrated throughout the program. Aim for at least 64 ounces of water daily. Hydration helps minimize nausea and supports overall progress.
Eat smaller, more frequent meals and prioritize protein and fiber at each meal. Your clinical team will provide nutrition guidance tailored to the program.
Avoid high-fat, greasy, or heavily processed meals, especially in the first few weeks, as these may worsen nausea.
Report any persistent nausea, vomiting, severe abdominal pain, or other unexpected symptoms to our team promptly. Do not wait until your next scheduled check-in.
Attend all scheduled follow-up appointments. Your dosage may be adjusted based on your response and tolerability, and this requires in-person or telehealth review with your provider.
Avoid alcohol in excess during the program. Alcohol can increase the risk of side effects and may work against your weight loss progress.

Facial treatment for hydration, glow, and smoother skin texture during a spring appointment at Express Med Spa.
