Aqua Facial

The AquaFacial is a multi-step, medical-grade resurfacing treatment that uses a vortex-fusion handpiece to do two things at once: lift away dead skin cells and debris while simultaneously infusing the skin with hydrating, medical-grade serums. In a single pass the device cleanses, exfoliates, gently extracts congestion from the pores, and delivers hydration.

Because the exfoliation and infusion happen together, the treatment is gentle enough for nearly all skin types yet still delivers immediate, visible results with no redness or recovery time.

The face is the standard AquaFacial treatment area, and your provider can extend the treatment to the neck and decolletage when you want a more complete result. The step that makes the treatment adaptable is the serum selection: rather than a single fixed product line, your nurse practitioner chooses medical-grade serums based on a brief skin assessment at the time of your visit.

That customization is why the AquaFacial works across such a wide range of skin, from oily and acne-prone to dry and mature, and why the handpiece pressure and serum blend can be adjusted for more sensitive or reactive skin.

Every AquaFacial at Express Med Spa begins with a short skin consultation with one of our nurse practitioners, who customizes the serum selection to your skin concerns and current condition. Your provider then works through the cleanse, exfoliate, extract, and hydrate steps over roughly 45 to 60 minutes.

Most patients describe the sensation as a light suction, similar to a gentle vacuum moving across the skin, with a mild tingle during exfoliation. There is no numbing required and no downtime afterward, so you can return to your day right away.

The AquaFacial is designed to give you visible results the same day. Skin typically looks brighter and more refreshed and feels smoother and more hydrated immediately after treatment, with no redness to wait out. Most patients leave glowing.

Those results generally last about 4 to 6 weeks. Because the benefits are cumulative and tied to your skin cycle, most patients see the best ongoing results with a monthly treatment, moving to that cadence after any initial series aimed at congestion or uneven tone.
