BEST FOR

Crepey neck and chest skin, horizontal neck lines, chest wrinkles, early skin laxity
  • Stefanie Drozd, Full Practice Authority Nurse Practitioner specializing in aesthetic and wellness treatments

How does hyperdilute Radiesse work on the neck and chest?

Radiesse is made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. For the thin skin of the neck and decollete the product is hyperdiluted, meaning it is mixed with additional fluid before injection so it spreads across a broad surface and works mainly as a collagen stimulator rather than a volumizer.

  • Stefanie Drozd, Full Practice Authority Nurse Practitioner specializing in aesthetic and wellness treatments

Which areas of the neck and chest are treated?

We treat the front and sides of the neck, where horizontal lines settle and skin turns crepey, and the upper chest and decollete, where sun exposure and side sleeping leave vertical and horizontal creasing. Those zones cover far more surface area than a single facial area, so most plans use more than one syringe.

  • Stefanie Drozd, Full Practice Authority Nurse Practitioner specializing in aesthetic and wellness treatments

    What happens at my appointment?

Your nurse practitioner reviews your skin and goals, marks the zones to be treated, cleanses the area, and can apply a topical numbing cream. The hyperdiluted product is then distributed across the treated planes through a small number of entry points. Most visits run about 30 to 60 minutes.

  • Stefanie Drozd, Full Practice Authority Nurse Practitioner specializing in aesthetic and wellness treatments

When will I see results, and how long do they last?

The added fluid gives a light smoothing effect the same day, but that is not the result. The real change is the collagen your body builds over the following weeks to a few months. Results commonly last 12 to 18 months. Individual results vary.

  • Stefanie Drozd, Full Practice Authority Nurse Practitioner specializing in aesthetic and wellness treatments

How does this compare to skin boosters, microneedling, or Sculptra?

Skin boosters hydrate, microneedling builds collagen through controlled micro-injury from the outside in, and hyperdilute Radiesse places a biostimulator scaffold under the skin. Sculptra is another biostimulator, but Express Med Spa does not offer Sculptra.

Who Neck and Decollete Rejuvenation is For

Good Candidates? Is This Right for You?

Concerns Neck and Decollete Rejuvenation Addresses

    • Crepey, papery texture on the neck and upper chest
    • Horizontal neck lines, including tech neck lines from looking down at a screen
    • Vertical and horizontal chest wrinkles across the decollete
    • Early loss of firmness and thinning skin quality
    • Sun related textural aging on skin that has had decades of exposure

Who Is a Good Candidate for Neck and Decollete Rejuvenation?

This treatment fits adults with mild to moderate crepiness, fine lines, and early laxity on the neck or chest whose goal is better skin quality rather than removing skin. It is a strong fit if you are willing to wait weeks for collagen to build rather than expecting an instant change, and if you are comfortable choosing a product that is not reversible in exchange for a result that commonly lasts 12 to 18 months.

It may not be the right choice if your main concern is significant sagging or excess skin, which is a surgical question rather than an injectable one; if the cords that stand out when you tense your neck are your main complaint, since those are muscle and are treated with a neurotoxin instead; if you want a product that can be dissolved; or if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain allergies or medical conditions. Your nurse practitioner will recommend an alternative in those cases.

    Safety Overview

At Express Med Spa, every neck and decollete treatment is performed by a licensed nurse practitioner or registered nurse. Using Radiesse on the neck and decollete is an off-label use: the approval on file for this product covers the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. Off-label use of an approved product is common and lawful in aesthetic medicine, and your provider reviews what it means for your plan before anything is injected.

We do not place Radiesse in the lips or around the eyes, where its safety has not been established. Because Radiesse cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase, your consultation includes an honest conversation about whether it is the right product for your goals. Tell your provider about any allergies, medications, bleeding disorders, or history of severe allergic reactions so we can plan the safest treatment for you.

Bleeding disorders, or blood thinning medications that raise bleeding and bruising risk
Pregnancy or breastfeeding (safety has not been established)

      Risks / Side Effects

Bruising, swelling, redness, tenderness, or itching at the injection sites, usually settling within days
Temporary firmness or small bumps that typically soften as the filler integrates

Asymmetry or under correction that may need a follow up adjustment
Radiesse is radiopaque and can be visible on X-rays and CT scans; tell your imaging provider you have it

Results are not instantly reversible; unwanted results are managed with time, massage, or other clinician led options
Individual results vary, and some patients choose a second session to reach their goal

      • How Hyperdilute Radiesse Works on the Neck and Decollete

Radiesse is an injectable made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a smooth gel carrier. CaHA is a mineral compound found naturally in bone, which is part of why Radiesse behaves differently from the hyaluronic acid fillers most people research first. It does not simply sit in place adding volume; it acts as a scaffold that prompts your own cells to lay down new collagen.

On the face, Radiesse is used at full strength where lift and structure matter. The neck and decollete are a different problem. The skin there is thinner, moves constantly, and takes more sun than almost anywhere else on the body, so what it needs is not volume, it is collagen and thickness. That is why the product is hyperdiluted for this area, meaning it is mixed with additional fluid before injection so it spreads evenly across a broad surface in a fine layer instead of concentrating in one spot.

Used this way, Radiesse behaves as a biostimulator, or collagen stimulator, rather than as a filler. Patients often arrive describing exactly that idea without knowing the brand name. Over the weeks after treatment the gel carrier is absorbed and your own collagen takes over the structural work, which is why the improvement keeps building after the appointment is over. For the underlying science, read our guide to what Radiesse is and how it works, and see our Radiesse filler hub for the facial version of this treatment.

      • Treated Zones Across the Neck and Upper Chest

Hyperdilute Radiesse is placed across defined planes rather than into a single crease. At Express Med Spa the treated zones are:

        • The front of the neck: where horizontal neck lines, including the tech neck lines that come from looking down at a phone, settle across the skin
        • The sides of the neck: where skin loses firmness and takes on a crepey, papery texture
        • The upper chest and decollete: the V of skin above the neckline, where sun exposure and side sleeping leave vertical and horizontal creasing

How the product is applied matters as much as where. Because it is hyperdiluted, your injector distributes it in a fine, even layer across the whole plane, usually through a small number of entry points using a cannula or a fine needle, rather than injecting a bolus into each individual line. Coverage is the goal, not volume.

Surface area is also why dosing works differently here than on the face. The neck and chest together cover far more skin than a single facial treatment area, so most plans use more than one syringe, and your injector confirms the number at your consultation.

There are areas this treatment does not cover. Vertical cords that stand out when you tense your neck are muscle rather than skin texture, and they are a neurotoxin question rather than a filler one; read our guide to platysmal bands and a nonsurgical neck lift. Radiesse is also not placed in the lips or around the eyes, where its safety has not been established, so we use hyaluronic acid products for those areas; see lip filler augmentation.

      • What to Expect at Your Neck and Decollete Appointment

Every appointment starts with a consultation. Your nurse practitioner looks at your skin quality, your sun history, and how much laxity is present, then tells you honestly whether hyperdilute Radiesse is the right tool or whether something else fits your goal better. Because Radiesse cannot be dissolved the way a hyaluronic acid filler can, that planning conversation carries real weight.

        The visit itself is straightforward:

        • We cleanse the neck and chest and can apply a topical numbing cream for comfort.
        • Your injector marks the zones to be treated so the product is distributed evenly.
        • The hyperdiluted product is placed through a small number of entry points using a cannula or a fine needle.
        • Most visits take about 30 to 60 minutes from start to finish.
        • You can return to most normal activities the same day.

Pricing for neck and decollete rejuvenation starts from $699 and depends on how many syringes your plan uses, which your injector confirms with you before anything is placed. Our guide to Radiesse filler cost breaks down how the pricing works in more detail.

      • Results Timeline and How Long Neck and Decollete Rejuvenation Lasts

Two things happen on two different clocks. Immediately after treatment the added fluid gives a light plumping effect across the treated skin, and that settles within a few days. That early look is not your result. The result is the collagen your body builds in response to the CaHA scaffold, which develops over the following weeks and keeps improving for a few months.

Most people describe the change as skin that looks and feels thicker and smoother, with lines that read softer rather than erased. Crepey texture tends to improve before deep set creases do. Results commonly last 12 to 18 months, depending on your skin, your sun exposure, and how much product was used. Individual results vary.

Because the neck and chest cover a large area, some people plan a second session a few months after the first to build further, then return for maintenance as the effect fades. Daily sunscreen on the neck and chest, the step most routines skip, protects the result more than anything else you can do at home. For a fuller breakdown, read how long Radiesse filler lasts.

      • Hyperdilute Radiesse vs Skin Boosters, Microneedling, and Sculptra

If you are weighing options for the neck and chest, here is the honest landscape:

Versus hyaluronic acid skin boosters. Skin boosters are thin hyaluronic acid gels that hydrate the skin and improve how it reflects light, and they can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. Hyperdilute Radiesse is not primarily about hydration, it is about collagen, and it cannot be dissolved. Express Med Spa carries the Revanesse hyaluronic acid line where an HA product is the better fit.

Versus microneedling. Microneedling builds collagen through controlled micro-injury, working from the outside in, and it is a strong option for chest texture. Hyperdilute Radiesse works from the inside out by placing a biostimulator scaffold beneath the skin. The two are complementary rather than competing, and plenty of patients do both, spaced apart. See our microneedling page for that option.

Versus Sculptra. Sculptra is a poly-L-lactic acid biostimulator that builds gradually across a series of sessions with no immediate change. Hyperdilute Radiesse offers a collagen benefit from a different product on a different timeline. Express Med Spa does not offer Sculptra. If Sculptra is what brought you here, a hyperdilute Radiesse consultation is the closest option we have, and our Radiesse vs Sculptra comparison lays out both sides fairly.

Versus a surgical neck lift. Surgery removes and repositions skin. No injectable does that. If your main concern is significant sagging rather than texture and fine lines, a biostimulator is not the right tool, and we will say so at your consultation.

      • Where to Get Neck and Decollete Rejuvenation Near You

Neck and decollete rejuvenation is available at all four Express Med Spa locations, with the same pricing and the same nurse practitioner led standards at each clinic:
